The Story
Page Dairy Mart has been scooping ice cream on Carson Street since 1951, making it one of Pittsburgh's oldest continuously operating ice cream shops. Cash only and gloriously old-fashioned, Page is known for its excellent banana splits and specialty sundaes.
For over 70 years, Page Dairy Mart has been the South Side's go-to spot for soft serve, sundaes, and shakes. The cash-only policy and retro charm are features, not bugs, and regulars would not have it any other way.
What Makes It Pittsburgh
Page Dairy Mart has been serving the South Side since before the Steelers had their name. Over seven decades of continuous operation through every economic boom and bust makes Page more than an ice cream shop. It is a Pittsburgh survivor and a neighborhood treasure.
