Gaucho Parrilla Argentina is a vibrant Argentinian restaurant in the Strip District that has been serving wood-fired steaks, empanadas, and South American flavors since 2013. Founded by Lean Muhlberger, the restaurant draws on traditional Argentine parrilla (grill) cooking techniques.
What Makes It Pittsburgh
The menu features grass-fed steaks, housemade chorizo, provoleta (grilled cheese), and some of the best empanadas in Pittsburgh. The chimichurri sauce is made in-house daily. The Strip District location has an energetic atmosphere with communal seating.
Gaucho has played a significant role in diversifying Pittsburgh's restaurant scene beyond its Italian and Eastern European roots.
