Bar Marco offers several ways to plan a Strip District dinner, and choosing the right reservation matters before choosing the dishes. A dining table, a seat at the bar and the restaurant’s Wine Room are separate experiences with different party sizes and arrangements.
This October 13, 2026 guide checks the operator’s current menu links and booking information. It covers an established restaurant, not a newly announced opening. The practical distinction is between an individually selected dinner order and a separately priced, advance-booked group menu.
Start with the Penn Avenue address and the current menu link
The official website describes Italian cooking, local purveyors, small-production wines and cocktails. Its linked Tock booking page identifies the restaurant at 2216 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, with 412-471-1900 and info@barmarcopgh.com as contacts.
Tock’s menu link leads to the current sample-menu page. The linked September 22, 2026 sample PDF lists individually priced courses and says no gratuity. Use this dated sample when planning, then confirm current dishes and the final bill directly.
Examples include $15 arancini, $32 rigatoni alla Marcella with tomato sauce, $33 mafaldine alla Genovese with basil pesto and $34 Atlantic cod loin. A nonalcoholic blueberry, balsamic, pineapple and lime drink is listed at $10. These examples describe the sample’s range; they are not a fixed-price dinner package or a guarantee of availability.
1. Dining reservation: a table for one to six
The dining reservation accepts parties of one to six. This is the table-booking route to check when the group wants the regular dinner format. Confirm the available date and seating time in the booking system.
A party of six choosing individual dishes should compare the regular menu with the group experience below before reserving. The same number of diners does not mean the two formats include the same food, drinks or service arrangements.
2. Bar reservation: one or two at the bar
The bar reservation is for one or two people and explicitly seats guests at the bar. Choose it because that seating suits the visit, rather than assuming it is an ordinary dining-table reservation.
When seating is important to the occasion, resolve that choice before completing the reservation. Keep the confirmation for the actual experience selected; the general restaurant name alone does not identify where the party will sit.
3. Wine Room: five courses for an advance-booked group
The Wine Room page describes a ten-seat cellar table. Its booking listing accepts groups of five to ten and lists five courses with wine pairings at $140 per person, including service.
That listing requests at least two weeks’ notice. Tuesday–Thursday has one seating between 5 and 7:30 p.m.; Friday–Saturday lists 5 and 8 p.m. seatings. Provide allergies and dietary restrictions when arranging the meal, and confirm the offered menu and booking terms for the chosen date.
Private-event enquiries have a separate request route. Our Bar Marco profile collects the official links. Match the booking format to the party first, then compare the complete food and beverage arrangements, including whether wine pairings are part of the selected experience.
