For a Vogel Disposal customer, the useful starting point is the service address and municipality. A nearby household’s collection day or bulk-item allowance may not apply to your account, and a regular cart service is different from a separately arranged dumpster rental.
This October 13, 2026 guide explains the operator’s current customer-information routes. It covers existing services, not a new expansion announcement. These are Vogel’s published instructions; they should not be treated as City of Pittsburgh collection rules or as confirmation that Vogel serves every Pittsburgh-area address.
Find the calendar for the actual service address
The residential service page provides a municipality-and-address lookup or a customer-number lookup for a printable 2026 waste and recycling calendar. Use the returned calendar rather than assuming one collection pattern across the region.
The same page says trash and recycling should be at the curb by midnight before collection day. It requests bagged trash, but recyclables go loose in the recycling cart. Missed-collection recovery requests must be made within twenty-four hours of collection day.
Arrange bulky items and refrigerant appliances before setting them out
Vogel says additional-item fees and instructions vary by municipality. Mattresses and box springs require plastic wrapping taped closed; carpet, rugs and padding require securely tied sections no longer than four feet and no heavier than thirty pounds.
The current page restricts curbside appliances containing refrigerant to existing residential customers in Pine or Marshall townships, with an additional prepaid fee. It describes another route after professional refrigerant removal and certification. Contact the operator before setting out such an appliance; a general bulky-item description does not establish acceptance.
Use the recycling guidelines for the material, not just the container
The recycling page asks customers to empty and rinse containers and leave recyclables unbagged. Its accepted categories include flattened cardboard, specified paper products, metal cans and plastics marked one, two or five.
Read the full local instructions before treating a plastic symbol as acceptance of every product made from that material. Keep ordinary trash, curbside recyclables and items needing a separate disposal route as different decisions. A full cart should not become a reason to mix unsuitable materials into recycling.
For a larger cleanout, compare a separate roll-off quote
The roll-off service page lists open containers from ten to thirty cubic yards. It describes seven-day use, with longer rentals costing extra. The listed ten-yard example measures twelve feet long, eight feet wide and three-and-a-half feet high.
The operator cautions against filling twenty- or thirty-yard containers solely with dirt, concrete or other heavy debris. Its exclusion list includes propane tanks, liquids, batteries, electronics and refrigerant-containing appliances. Confirm the intended waste with the operator before choosing a container size.
Ask for delivery availability, placement requirements, included weight and the complete rental total. A container’s volume does not by itself establish what material may be loaded or what the final disposal charge will be.
The contact page lists call or text service at 724-625-1511 and 121 Brickyard Road, Mars, PA 16046. Our Vogel Disposal profile links official information. Identify the account and service municipality when requesting collection instructions or a quote.
