The Tavern at Hyeholde gives diners a separate option inside the restaurant’s carriage house, with its own menu and reservation designation. Before booking, decide which space you want: a general Hyeholde reservation is not a reason to assume that the Tavern and main dining room serve the same menu.

This October 13, 2026 guide covers an expansion already in operation earlier this year. Axios reported February 19 that the new Tavern was open for reservations. This is dated background, not an October opening announcement.

Select the Tavern when reserving

The official Tavern page describes a more relaxed carriage-house space focused on small plates, shareable dishes and cocktails. It says the Tavern has a separate menu from the main dining room. Choose the space for its published format rather than expecting an identical experience in both rooms.

The booking instructions say to select “Tavern” on Resy for that space and “Dining Room” for the traditional dining experience. The operator says a missing option means that particular reservation is fully booked. Although the page uses both required and strongly recommended reservation wording, booking ahead is the clearest way to establish which room you have arranged.

The same page still displays an Oktoberfest menu dated September 15–October 9. Those dates have passed as of this guide. Do not assume its sausages, schnitzel or strudel are still being served; the operator also says exact seasonal selections may differ on the day of a visit.

Confirm the visit and access arrangements directly

The restaurant’s contact page lists 1516 Coraopolis Heights Road, Coraopolis, PA 15108, and 412-264-3116. Its general posted hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30–9 p.m., with Sundays and Mondays closed. Confirm the intended Tavern reservation time and holiday exceptions rather than treating general hours as a promise of a table.

Reservations are available by phone or through Resy; an email enquiry does not guarantee one. The contact page asks guests with access needs to notify the receptionist while booking. Describe the assistance or seating arrangement you need so staff can address the actual visit.

Review age, arrival and group rules before booking

The dining guidelines state that guests must generally be 13 or older, with exceptions requiring express approval for contracted private events. Many public events involving alcohol are limited to adults 21 or older. Check the relevant event or reservation rather than assuming one age rule covers everything.

The guidelines suggest business casual attire and identify items considered too casual, including shorts, flip-flops and team athletic attire. They also ask guests to arrive at the reserved time: early arrivals cannot be accommodated, and a late table is held for up to 15 minutes.

For parties larger than six, the published check policy limits splitting to four equal payments; parties of eight or more receive an automatic 20 percent gratuity. A requested table or server cannot be guaranteed. Ask about these arrangements before inviting a group with particular needs.

Our Hyeholde profile links the official Tavern and dining information. Confirm the correct room, party size and current menu together; an older promotional menu or unanswered enquiry does not establish the details of a future dinner.
